The cleansing cream is the star product in its line. I can't live without it. It's such a great cleansing product. I use it in the morning along with the Dr Hauschka Facial toner and rose day cream. Truly exceptional products.

Give it a good 1 - 2 months to see results. My skin got worse in the first week and then by the 3 week my skin was glowing.

Dr hauschka helps detoxify your skin inside out.

I believe in Dr. Hauschka's approach to skincare and know that they are a very pure line. However, I have tried them numerous times, once for a year, but they leave my face dehydrated with clogged pores, according to an esthetician I worked with. The cleansing cream does not rinse off, it seems to cling to my face for dear life. The only way I could get it off was with some serious rubbing with a cloth or sponge, which left my face red and irritated. I have oily skin and eczema, one condition on top of the other, so it's a challenge to treat it. After cleansing, toning, and moisturizing, no matter which products I used and I tried both cleansers, both toners, and all the moisturizers Hauschka makes, trying to find the right combination to work for me, my face just looked old and irritated. I finally gave up trying. I now use Suki, which is absolutely fabulous for my skin. I also use Weleda's Baby Calendula Shampoo and Wash on my face and body, which I love as well.

Here's a couple points to set your mind at ease:

The alcohol used in Dr. Hauschka line is food grade, biodynamic (from apples/potatoes/grains) and steam distilled, to assist with extracting botanicals that are not capable of the rhythmic water method.

Secondly, according to European labeling guidelines any proprietary blend of essential oils used in a formulation must be labeled parfume/fragrance, even though these are natural and organic plants and not artificial fragrances. Dr. Hauschka lists these ingredients with * indicating it is an essential oil component. BDIH which certifies natural cosmetic products, of which Dr. Hauschka is approved, does not allow for synthetic fragrances.

Hope this helps. Dr. Hauschka is the real deal. My skin has never looked or felt better. I am constantly getting complements and remarks on my skin.

Thanks for sharing your review! A great way to try the Dr. Hauschka products is through the trial kit (around $25 online)that contains 2 cleansers, 3 moisturizers (including the Quince, Rose, and Moisturizing Day Cream), and the toner. (Note on the container sizes - they look very small but you only need a very small amount so they last for weeks of daily use.)

I was a bit skeptical - and hesitant - because of the price but decided to make the leap since I've been desperate to find a product that isn't loaded with junk. After using the products for a few weeks my almost 40 year old skin looks better than it ever has! I agree that the Quince is a great moisturizer but I am going with the Moisturizing Day Cream just because it is more liquidy (the Quince is very thick) something I like especially as we head into Spring/Summer. I think I'll revisit the Quince when we hit the cooler months. I can't wait to try the more Dr. H products like the masks, body oils, or other specialty creams!
